Ed Woolley hails from Blackwood in the Welsh Valleys. Having trained in illustration at Southampton Institute , he recently began to focus on local photography and painting, working in oils. Taking inspiration from the dramatic landscape of South Wales, he walks frequently in the valleys and along the Gwent levels, with sea views across the Severn Estuary. Ed strives to capture the tranquility and turbulence of the skies, and the bright colours within the inland or coastal landscapes.
Beyond Wales he paints scenes from his travels, emphasising street perspectives and scenes of everyday life.
